Indiana College Costs Estimator app for iPhone and iPad

The Indiana College Costs Estimator (ICCE) mobile app has been designed to help first-time undergraduates better understand what kind of financial aid you may be eligible to receive and how financial aid can affect your actual cost of attending college. Now you can take all the great functionality of the main website with you wherever you go. The mobile app has 3 main features:

1) Calculate: To receive an estimate of your Expected Family Contribution (EFC), as well as estimates of financial aid at Indiana colleges and universities, you will need to complete five screens of information. The more fully and accurately you complete each screen, the more accurate the EFC estimate and the estimates of net cost for a chosen Indiana institution. Once you fill out the information, you will be able to see how your financial situation is calculated under the Federal Methodology and how that calculation influences financial aid packages from various Indiana institutions. Another great feature of the tool is that after you have calculated your EFC, you can compare financial aid results from 3 different Indiana colleges at a time.

2) Compare: Here you can explore any Indiana public or private institution to get information on their demographics, costs & financial aid information, and their admissions criteria and important deadlines. This is a great feature for those who are trying to narrow down what schools they want to apply to.

3) Learn: By looking through this section you can now conveniently learn more about the college admissions, selection and financial aid process. You will find information such as: “What makes up an EFC?”; “Why does a diploma type really matter in Indiana?”; “What are the different types and sources of financial aid?”; etc.
